The urban environment, with its energetic blend of structure and chaos, is perfectly suited to my aims as a photographer. The work lives happily at the intersection of natural and artificial light. Decisions made at the moment of exposure are emphasized, with post-processing held to a minimum.

My hunt for the image is an intuitive process, tending toward abstraction, spatial ambiguity, distortion, and often disorienting points of view. These qualities, among others, contribute to a visual distillation in the quest to glimpse some unifying essence or energy. I encourage the viewer to see, and question, familiar objects and scenes in fresh, new ways.

All work is created in signed, numbered editions. It’s available in a wide variety of sizes ranging from 10 x 15 inches to 40 x 60 or larger. The images are produced as archival ink jet prints on photo paper or as metal prints using the dye sublimation process. Metals have been especially popular for many of the highly reflective urban motifs. A variety of pieces are in inventory, but all can be produced to meet your specifications.
